"Why were pulses put on my body... What can it mean?"

A pulsus pandemicus is any pulse that may herald the worldwide spread of a major disease.[1] It is the one of the few pulses where, if detected, an emergent infectious diseases consult is warranted. A pulsus pandemicus is exceedingly rare. The last pulsus pandemicus was detected on clinical exam by a nurse in Brazil, which eventually predicted the Zika outbreak of 2015-16.
