Pulmonary Embolism.jpg

A uterine embolization is like a pulmonary embolism but to the uterus. It's unfortunate because then you have to start the uterus on blood thinners, like Coumadin (Warfarin). But let's say you have fibroids and worsening menorrhagia on anticoagulation, that's just terrible. It's too bad there isn't a procedure to help with this uterine bleeding. Man, uterine embolization sucks!
