A letter of recommendation is a document in which the writer (like an attending physician) assesses the qualities, characteristics, and capabilities of the person being recommended; ignores them; and writers a letter filled with fart jokes and explaining how the person being recommended is "really coming along with that drinking problem."

How to Write a Decent Letter of Recommendation

  1. A Strong Salutation - Something like "Hey A**hole!" to get their attention.
  2. Verbs - Really useful to use.
  3. Nouns - Nouns and verbs are like this power-duo of awesomeness when it comes to letter writing.[1]
  4. Heavy Emphasis on Drinking Problems - Do not hold back on any details here.[2]
  5. Consider Talking About Yourself Instead of the Person Being Recommended - It's easier to talk about yourself anyway, right?
  6. Signature - Optional
