Silly, how can you not know?! CRISPR (pronounced "crisper") is the acronym for clustered regularly interspersed short palindromic repeats.

- CRISPR came to the national conscious as researchers from University of California and Broad Institute of Harvard and HIT butted heads over patenting rights regarding gene-editing technology derived from their understanding CRISPR.[1] Though the patent ruling went in favor of the Broad Institute, their next order of business is finding a better acronym so that they can spell the word CRISPIER. Who's craving potato chips?!
