The birth name of thousands of Americans who also happen to be providers of Anesthesia (Anesthesiologists and CRNAs). When parents name their child Anesthesia they are destined to go into the field of anesthesia. This is why in the Operating room people will say "Anesthesia" and the provider who is giving anesthesia will actually respond. [1] The other 3% of anesthesia providers are named Craig.
