Glove Compartment Syndrome
Glove compartment syndrome is a serious condition involving increased pressure in the glove compartment. The glove compartment does not expand; thus, swelling in the compartment - often the result of amassed speeding and parking tickets - leads to increased pressure, which can threatening the integrity of the glove compartment. If not decompressed immediately, the glove compartment can burst, damaging not only the interior of the car but the driver and other passengers. For this reason, glove compartment syndrome is a surgical emergency that requires immediate attention and intervention.[1]
