The loss of the sense of smell.

From Scrubs Season 2 Episode 5 "My White Coat"

J.D. (in Ted the lawyer's office): A patient's blaming me for losing his sense of smell.

TED (leaping out of his chair, shutting off his relaxing music): Oh, God, you cut off someone's nose!? Where is it? Do you have it on you? (Gasps.) You're disgusting!

J.D.: No, I-I just gave him IV imipenem.

TED: Kelso's gonna blame me. Just...get rid of the nose!

J.D.: Ted, I don't-I don't have the nose. Maybe you should just calm down.

TED (losing it): MAYBE YOU SHOULD CALM DOWN!

J.D.: My bad.

TED (going through his file cabinet): Imipenem... imipenem... imipenem... (He reads out of a folder.) Unlike gentamicin and tetracycline, imipenem has never been associated with anosmia. (Relieved, he laughs and catches his breath.) My God, we're okay. We're okay.
