Artist’s rendition of best case scenario when patient yanks out Foley

Designed by Frederic Foley, a Foley catheter is a flexible tube that is (1) passed through the urethra and into the bladder to help drain urine and, more importantly, (2) yanked out by the patient with maximum torque or a lawnmower-like motion.[1] Foley catheters are more frequently being inserted into nurses and other health care providers due to the increasingly prevalence of Forgot-to-Pee Syndrome. For some reason, medical students are very eager to place these.[2]
