A hypersensitivity reaction is when a July intern keeps crying over the smallest little things.


Classifications


Hypersensitivity reactions can be broken down into four different types:

  1. Type I hypersensitivity - Also known as immediate hypersensitivity, this is when an intern cries when you say hello.
  2. Type II hypersensitivity - When an intern cries in response to an early admission.
  3. Type III hypersensitivity - When an intern cries while typing notes at 11 PM at night.
  4. Type IV hypersensitivity - Defined as an intern who cries alone in a call room.
