Methamphetamine is often used as a recreational drug, less commonly used for the treatment of obesity and ADHD under the trade name Desoxyn. It is a sympathomimetic; that is to say, it mimics the effects of epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Along with methamphetamines, other sympathomimetics include cocaine, dobutamine, ephedrine, and medical training.
