Separation Anxiety
Separation anxiety is anxiety provoked in a student or intern upon separation from his or her teacher.
Example of Separation Anxiety
Resident: Now you go and round on your patients, okay?
Intern: NOOO!!!! I don't wanna. (Intern pouts.)
Resident: It's okay. I'll only be gone a little while.
Intern: Can't you tell me a story?
Resident: I'll be back when we round as a team. (Resident walks away.)
Intern: WAHHHHHH!!!!! (Intern cries and pees, puddle forms equal parts tears and urine.)
