Once a maneuver to intimidate siblings or others, the titty twist or purple nurple has now been elevated to the role of medical maneuver by the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), proving to be more effective at eliciting a pain response than a sternal rub.

How to Perform a Titty Twist

Step 1: Grab one or both of your patient's nipples.

Step 2: Twist nipples a minimum of 360 degrees.

Step 3: Await patient response.

Step 4: Consult Plastic Surgery to reattach nipples.
