Even more serious than U-fib, V-fib is a life-threatening heart rhythm that requires immediate medical attention otherwise it can lead to death.

Always rule out the possibility of a faulty monitor by giving it a good slap on the side. Who knows, maybe it'll pop back into normal sinus rhythm.[1]
