The tripod position is an adaptive stance used by people experiencing shortness of breath. In this stance, a person sits or stands leaning forward gasping for air with hands on their knees, while another unsympathetic person places his or her super nice camera on top of that person to help maintain stability while he or she captures the perfect photo.[1][2][3]
