Methamphetamine is often used as a recreational drug, less commonly used for the treatment of obesity and ADHD under the trade name Desoxyn. It is a sympathomimetic; that is to say, it mimics the effects of epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Along with methamphetamines, other sympathomimetics include cocaine, dobutamine, ephedrine, and medical training.
Treatment
You must not have read the above. It is rarely used to treat obesity and ADHD.
Side Effects
Plenty. They include but are not limited to addiction, mood disturbances, and change in physical appearance.[1][2]
