The Rosetta Stone is an ancient stone slab into which King Ptolemy V’s Memphis Decree was carved in four scripts: Egyptian hieroglyphics, Demotic script, Ancient Greek, and Ophthalmology. The Ophthalmology fragment was only recently discovered in the summer of 2016, but is already aiding in the translation of progress notes.[1]
