"No way you'll miss my incision site!"

A marking scalpel is a recently introduced replacement to the marking pen to improve patient surgical safety. By replacing the easily erasable ink marking with an unmistakable initial incision and scalpeled signature, wrong-site surgeries will be a thing of the past, though blood transfusions will be needed more than ever.[1]
