MACRA
MACRA, which stands for the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act, is the bipartisan health law and Quality Payment Program that replaces the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula with something wildly confusing. Under MACRA, physicians or physician group must report performance based on one of two pathways: the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) or bribes.
