Transderm-Scop (Scopolamine)
Transderm-Scop (scopolamine) is a patch used to treat post-op nausea or motion sickness. It is manufactured by Sandoz.
Recall
Early in February 2017, Sandoz issued a recall of Transderm-Scop stating there were incorrect instructions placed on the carton. The recalled lots said, "Use only one patch at a time. Do cut the patch." What Sandoz meant to say was, "Use only one patch at a time. Do cut the patch. And then drink it. Slurp actually, what's the worst that can happen? While you're at it, rub it on your eyeballs and genitals and see what happens. Those of you who don't want to cut the patch? Suit yourself, you're really missing out..." Sandoz has issued an apology and seeks to remedy the problem as soon as possible.[1]
