"Where's your rash? Head, shoulders, knees and toes..."

Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes disease (or HSKTKTD) is a rare variant of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD), both of which are caused by Coxsackievirus A16. Symptoms and signs include fever and a rash involving the head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes. The condition primarily affects children. It is believed that the children's song and dance of the same name originated as a way to distract children from this uncomfortable disorder by singing about it and pointing to their afflicted body parts over and over again.
