The Karate Kidney is a 1984 martial arts drama about Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and how he comes to master nephrology thanks to the tutelage of Kesuke Miyagi (Pat Morita). The movie has been a goldmine for renal pop culture, from the phrase "Waxy casts on, waxy casts off" and the bad guys of the Cobra AKI, to the infamous final karate move known as "The Creatinine."
