A flebotomist is someone specially trained to draw blood via venipuncture if no leeches are around. People often misspell flebotomist as phlebotomist. Similar to how Philippines is spelled with a Ph and Filipino is spelled with an F, phlebotomy is spelled with a PH but flebotomist is spelled with an F.
