A bedside Komodo dragon (also known as Varanus komodoensis bedsidis) is a large species of lizard found at a patient's bedside. Whereas a bedside commode helps a hospitalized patient by shortening the distance between the bed and bathroom, a bedside Komodo dragon helps a hospitalized patient by shortening the distance between the bed and Indonesia, which is where Komodo dragons are found. Bedside Komodo dragons may also be used as pet therapy.[1]
