Durable and efficient, the napkin is the best way to transit information between two medical providers.[1] Though most commonly seen when transitioning between medical-surgical units and intensive care units, a napkin can be a useful medium for writing progress notes or obtaining blood consent. The presence of any food or beverage stains just serves to hence the authenticity of the napkin note.
