The precordial thump is a medical technique used in the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias. The technique is best described as "punch the patient in the chest as hard as you f**king can!" The People's Elbow is a variation of the precordial thump that is considered to be the most electrifying move in all of ACLS.[1] This maneuver should only really be reserved for those scenarios where a defibrillator isn't available. That being said, try to sneak in a precordial thump any chance you get!
