Sleep-Deprived Beauty was a ballet composed by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky in 1889, and it tells the timeless tale of a tired on-call resident named Aurora who, during her sixteenth admission, accidentally suffers a needle stick. To this day, Sleep-Deprived Beauty remains one of the most influential works regarding sharps injury prevention.[1]
