The Rosetta Stone is an ancient stone slab into which King Ptolemy V’s Memphis Decree was carved in four scripts: Egyptian hieroglyphics, Demotic script, Ancient Greek, and Modern Ophtho. The Ophthalmology fragment was only recently discovered in the summer of 2016, but is already aiding in the translation of progress notes.[1]
