Scapula
From Gomerpedia
In the kitchen, a spatula is a utensil with a flat, flexible end that helps in flipping and tossing food items, like eggs or pancakes. In the hospital, a spatula is a similarly shaped but slightly larger utensil that helps in flipping and tossing patients, like Steven in Room 311 (see Figure 1). When used correctly, a hospital spatula can instantly reposition a patient, thus ensuring he is treated evenly on all sides. When used incorrectly, a hospital spatula can severely injure a patient by dropping him or her right on the sider rail or, worse, onto the floor. For this reason, always exercise care when flipping patients, particularly post-surgical and elderly patients, with a hospital spatula.
