Tenesmus

Tenesmus is the feeling of the need to pass stools, even if the colon is empty. It is named after Eleanor Tenesmus, who first described the feeling back in 1846. Also, be certain to clarify that the patient isn't saying "tennis match" as the two sound very similar.
