The '''Surviving Sepsis Campaign''' (or '''SSC'''; website: www.survivingsepsis.org/) is the result of a joint collaboration between the Society of Critical Care Medicine and European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, after a previously created "Not Surviving Sepsis Campaign''' failed in its attempt to reduce sepsis-related morbidity and mortality. This new venture was once titled the '''F**k You Sepsis Campaign''' before it was renamed the less tempered '''Surviving Sepsis Campaign'''.
