The '''Surviving Sepsis Campaign''' (or '''SSC'''; website: [http://www.survivingsepsis.org www.survivingsepsis.org]) is the result of a joint collaboration between the Society of Critical Care Medicine and European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, after a previously created "Not Surviving Sepsis Campaign''' " failed in its attempt to reduce sepsis-related morbidity and mortality. This new venture The '''Surviving Sepsis Campaign''' was once titled the '''F**k You Sepsis Campaign''' before it was renamed to the less tempered '''Surviving Sepsis Campaign'''name that it currently holds.
