Founded in 1936, the '''American Board of Internal Medicine''' (or '''ABIM''') is charged with not only certifying 1 out of every 4 physicians in the United States, but also ensuring that 4 out of 4 physicians enlarge their [[Medical Debt|medical debt| by paying exorbitant fees for practices that are not really evidence-based.
