The '''Surviving Sepsis Campaign''' (or '''SSC'''; website: [http://www.survivingsepsis.org www.survivingsepsis.org]) is the result of a joint collaboration between the Society of Critical Care Medicine and European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, after a previously created "Not Surviving Sepsis Campaign" failed in its attempt to reduce sepsis-related morbidity and mortality. The '''Surviving Sepsis Campaign''' was once titled the "F**k You, Sepsis, Campaign" before it was renamed to the less tempered name that it currently holds.
