Transthoracic Echocardiogram

A transthoracic echocardiogram (or TTE) is the name for a transvaginal or fetal ultrasound when the ultrasound tech aims way too high and gets the heart instead. It is also useful for identifying valvular abnormalities since our cardiac exam skills suck these days.
