Doc McStuffins is an American-Irish animated TV show. Gomerblog has extensively covered Doc McStuffins, which has not been without controversies.
Timeline
Doc McStuffins has gone through numerous highs and lows since the beginning of 2015.
- On January 30, 2015, children received devastating news when Doc McStuffins was not asked back for another season after she received dismal patient satisfaction scores.[1]
- Oddly enough, one day later on February 1, 2015, public health researchers found that Doc McStuffins was more evidence based compared to The Dr. Oz Show.[2] Despite these findings, Doc McStuffins would not be asked back on the air.
- On February 21, 2015, the reality of Doc McStuffins' departure was cemented with Nickelodeon's leak of a new TV show, Dora the Malingerer.[3]
- On May 9, 2015, the Joint Commission officially shut down Doc McStuffins' clinic when she was found to have been guilty of numerous violations including HIPAA noncompliance, lack of a EHR, and lack of chaperoning during cross-gender examinations.[4]
- On September 4, 2015, Doc McStuffins opened up about her personal battle with burnout especially after dealing with the loss of her TV show and clinic.
