The Nutcracker is a beloved two-act ballet scored by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky about two urologists, Clara and Drosselmeyer, who try to defeat the Mouse King by inducing testicular torsion with the help of a life-sized nutcracker.[1] It is a story that speaks directly to the hearts of people, explaining why it is one of the most successful performances not only during the holiday season but the whole ballet season.
