The most extreme form of strabismus, eye roll-induced strabismus' (or ERIS) is a condition by which a nurse eye roll leads to the complete realignment of the eyeballs such that the eyes stare into their own optic nerve and brain.[1]

Management

Short of a good deed performed by an intern that prompts an anti-eye roll to restore the eyeballs into their original positions, surgery is the often first line. Post-operatively, most ophthalmologists recommend the selective use of an eye patch when encountering nincompoop.
