Like Dilaudid and morphine, Iodine (I) is an essential element for life for two reasons: (1) iodine is required to make thyroid hormones (T4 and T3), and (2) iodine is necessary to make quality angiograms and CTs. Natural sources of iodine include seafood and pharmacy. Iodine has rightfully, through hard work, dedication, and persistence, earned itself the atomic number 53.
