The 2008 JUPITER trial was conducted based on the hypothesis the Great Red Spot was actually a Giant Red Plaque that could be reduced with rosuvastatin assuming it had normal LDL and elevated HS-CRP. The Juno mission's purpose was to measure LDL and HS-CRP. Because researchers became increasingly inpatient the Juno mission to reach the largest planet in our solar system was taking so goddamn long, they decided to give the rosuvastatin to patients instead. Turned out to be a good move after all.[1]
