MBq Hydrocephalus.jpg

Extremely rare but mentioned in the urologic literature, urocephalus is defined by the presence of too much urine in the brain. It is often the result of bladder outlet obstruction or BPH. When enough back pressure develops, a nephrospinal fistula develops, leading to urocephalus.

Lumbar puncture reveals urine.

Place Foley catheter and consult Urology.
