A urinary tract infection (or UTI) is an infection involving either the kidneys, ureters, bladder, or urethra.
Risk Factors
Woman are more likely to acquire a UTI compared to men, unless those men happened to be named Dick or Willie. Other names that confer a higher lifetime risk of UTIs include Cox, Wood, and Ball.[1]
Diagnosis
ID consult.[2] Maybe urology too.
Treatment
As with any other medical condition that does or doesn't warrant antibiotics, the treatment is vancomycin and Zosyn.
