The American Health Care Act was a health care law proposed by President Donald Trump and House Speaker Ryan to replace the Affordable Care Act. Despite a tumultuous several weeks, an attempt to bring the bill to the floor for a vote was ultimately canceled on March 24, 2017; in short, Trump asked Ryan to "pull out." Ultimately, the American Health Care Act was doomed for several reasons: loss of coverage to 24 million Americans and its inability to cover anxiety disorders induced by the Trump administration.[1][2] However, loyal Trump supporters cannot wait to lose their health coverage.[3]
