At home, a microwave is a kitchen appliance that reheats food and liquids. At work, a microwave is that ugly, box-shaped monstrosity in the nurses station or office that theoretically reheats food and liquids but hasn't been used for years because it smells like rotting carcasses. If you do use it, there are two outcomes: food remains cold or food becomes radioactive.
