Atorvastatin (trade name: Lipitor) is a lipid-lowering medication, and owes its success to the American Diet and McDonald's. Atorvastatin is one of the best-selling statins in history, and the achievement was commemorated with a huge cocktail party in which everyone developed abnormal LFTs and rhabdomyolysis.[1]
