Similar to a pain in the butt, a pain in the neck is a pain caused by either an annoying situation (prior authorization or charting) or a person (intern, medical student, or Darth Vader).[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Treatment

First-line treatment is removal of the annoying source. If this cannot be done and the pain in the neck persists, then second-line treatment is laminectomy.
