"I dunno, doesn't look good, get Ocular Palliative on board..."

When an ophthalmologist believes an eyeball has become end stage due to glaucoma or just getting poked in the eye too much, he or she will recommend eye hospice.

Components of a Comprehensive Eye Hospice

Eye hospice programs vary from state to state and eyeball to eyeball, but generally eye hospices employ the following:

  1. The eye can watch TV or stare at computer screens for however long it wants
  2. A tiny in fan will blow directly on the eyeball for comfort
  3. Continuous artificial tears achieves the equivalent of IV morphine with whole-body hospice
  4. No eye patches
