Swallow

To allow food, drink, or medications to pass down the throat. The swallow is so important that Joan Baez wrote a song about it called "The Swallow Song". Speech therapists are routinely consulted to evaluate the swallow mechanism in humans. We know, however, that the swallow mechanism of the Pyxis is just fine as it swallowed a nurse whole on October 31, 2016.[1]
