To hack up a lung is to cough so much and so violently that you actually cough out one or both of your lungs.

Our recommendation then would be to show up to your nearest emergency room (don't forget to bring your hacked up lung) and hopefully they'll triage you fast enough and either get cardiothoracic surgery to put them back or send you to hospice.
What Should I Do in the Meantime?
- Put lung to mouth
- Blow into your own lung
- Watch it expand (how cool is that?!)
- Head to emergency room
