Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Difficult is a long, confusing, vague, and totally unenjoyable approach to clinical microbiology, brimming with long-winded essays, lack of humor, and small font. It has been far less successful than its sister publication Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple. But Dr. Thomas Frieden, Director of the CDC, does point out one thing: "At least this book doesn't use the word p**sy."[1]
